VJ Keegan

Born in 1980 VJ Keegan grew up in the Lake District and now lives with her young family in West Sussex.

Following a foundation year in the conceptual melting pot at Central St Martins, VJ went in pursuit of more traditional drawing techniques.

Aged 19 she moved to Florence to study old master techniques, taking influences from Ribera, Van Dyck, Velasquez and Singer Sargent and learning to paint solely from life and nature.

On her return to London VJ specialised in portrait painting before turning her attention to still-life.  She has subsequently earned a highly respected reputation for her beautifully studied, fluid painting style and classical contemporary still-life paintings.

VJ Keegan regularly exhibits with GrandyArt throughout the year and has previously had solo exhibitions at the Sladmore Gallery in London and shown with the Summerleaze Gallery in Wiltshire.
